Sharjil Ahmed is an Islamic Finance Specialist and a seasoned Investment Banker. He is the Co-founder of Cykube, a UK headquartered Blockchain and Fintech advisory and solutions provider. He is working on promoting Fintech and Blockchain solutions in the areas of Finance. Government, Healthcare, Shariah Compliant Investments, Halal economy, SDG’s and financial inclusion.

Sharjil has gained training and certifications from Oxford University in Fintech and Blockchain post completing his MBA from Anglia Ruskin University, UK. He has 15 years of experience in Islamic Investment banking and been involved as founding team member of BLME, Al Rayan (Islamic Bank of Britain) and Dux Capital, DIFC to name a few.

Sharjil has worked closely with UKTI, HM Treasury and Lord Mayor’s trade delegations to make London the leading western hub for Islamic finance, including writing a report on the history of Islamic finance and UK commissioned by the UK Government Islamic Finance task force. Sharjil is a member of the advisory panel od Islamic Finance Qualification at the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI), UK. Sharjil is also and Associate Director Pakistan Recovery Fund, launched by HRH Prince Charles and has also been recently appointed as Advisory Board Member to World Muslims Leader Forum, UK. He is a an alumnus of the International Visitors Leadership Programme 2012 (IVLP).
